About the Job
- Lead and manage a team of extension officers working directly with farmers and cooperatives
- Drive extension activities focused on improving raw milk quality and on-farm practices
- Recruit, onboard, and develop new farmers, cooperatives, and potential milk suppliers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives, and local agriculture offices
- Set priorities and provide strategic direction for field activities, while remaining closely involved on the ground
- Monitor performance of the extension team and support capability building and coaching
- Identify opportunities to strengthen milk supply volumes and reliability across milk collection areas
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education: BSC in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Animal Production, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Extension, Livestock Production and Management
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of related work experience
- Strong understanding of the local dairy farming sector
- Analytical and structured mindset, able to work independently
- Practical experience with extension and raw milk quality improvement work
- Comfortable engaging with farmers, cooperatives, and local authorities
- Willing to work in flexible locations outside of Addis
