Position: Internship Opportunity – Communication Intern (Graphic Designer)

The skilled and creative COM Intern(Graphic Designer) will join the ICRC Communication Team in Addis Ababa. S/he will play a key role in designing and adapting communication materials across print and digital platforms, ensuring alignment with the ICRC’s corporate visual identity.

As a Graphic Designer, s/he will collaborate with internal teams to enhance the quality, coherence, and impact of communication and other corporate identity materials. S/he will provide technical support to colleagues in Addis Ababa, as well as to communication officers in Bahir Dar, Mekelle and Nekemte.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in multimedia/graphic design, visual communication, or a related field. A professional diploma in digital/print graphic design/visual communication is also acceptable.
  • Advanced mastery of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Working knowledge of After Effects and familiarity with video workflows (Final Cut or Premiere Pro) are assets.
  • Proven experience designing print and digital formats, incl. for social media and web.
  • Capacity and experience designing audiovisual formats is an asset.
  • Proven experience in applying a corporate visual identity across the board.
  • Capacity to work in tight schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Fluent command of Amharic and English.
  • Fluency in local languages; Afan Oromo, Tigrinya, Somali, Afar and proficiency in French or other languages are considered strong assets.
