Company Secretary
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education: A recognized relevant tertiary qualification, preferably a commercial or law degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in corporate governance, legal, or company secretarial functions, ideally within the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, contract, commercial, mining and employment law and environmental regulations.
- Experience in compliance, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
- A Chartered Company Secretary qualification, e.g., Chartered Governance Institute or equivalent, will be advantageous.
Language Requirements
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication with language proficiency in English, Afaan Oromo and Amharic at the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) category C2: Mastery standard.
Competencies and Skills Required
- Exceptional Organizational Skills: Ability to meticulously organize, categories, and manage multiple operation disciplines and functions.
- Corporate and Mining regulatory environments: Sound understanding of Corporate and Mining regulatory environments and their interrelationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills: Ability to interact with senior people in the company and represent the company in a positive manner in the private and public sectors and to effectively present and communicate key technical, financial, safety, environmental and social matters to the Board and other stakeholders.
- Highly Analytic and Strategic: Ability to recognizes the cause-and-effect relationships between actions, people, and processes, and anticipates their broader consequences.
- Team Orientated: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Personal Attributes
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professional ethics.

- Able to take control and provide direction and guidance to senior managers.

Legal and Ethics Manager
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor of Law degree; admission as an Attorney or Advocate in Ethiopia.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in corporate governance, legal, or company secretarial functions, ideally within the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, contract, commercial, mining and employment law and environmental regulations.
- Experience in compliance, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
- A recognized MBA.
