Job Requirements & Description

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Accounting, Management or related field.
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience as a storekeeper, preferably in construction or project-based environments. Experience handling construction materials and tools is highly preferred.

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge of inventory management procedures.
  • Familiarity with GRNs, issue vouchers, and stock documentation.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word).
  • Understanding of stock control systems.
  • Ability to prepare accurate stock reports.

Behavioral Competencies

  • High level of integrity and accountability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all delivered materials, tools, machinery, and equipment against approved orders and delivery documents.
  • Ensure machinery/equipment are received with complete accessories and proper documentation (including invoices).
  • Prepare and process accurate Goods Receiving Notes (GRNs).
  • Report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or non-conformities immediately.
  • Issue materials strictly against approved and signed vouchers.
  • Maintain accurate bin cards, stock records, and material movement documentation.
  • Prevent unauthorized withdrawal or misuse of materials.
  • Organize and maintain safe, clean, and standard-compliant storage areas.
  • Monitor stock levels, including fast-moving, slow-moving, obsolete, and expiry items.
  • Update daily, weekly, and monthly stock balances.
  • Identify and report reorder requirements on time.
  • Conduct daily spot checks and monthly stock counts.
  • Participate in periodic and annual inventory audits.
  • Prepare and submit daily and periodic stock reports to Head Office.
  • Investigate and report stock variances immediately.
  • Ensure compliance with company inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Safeguard company assets against theft, damage, and misuse.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
