Job Requirements & Description
Position: JR Underwriting officer
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Management, Civil Engineering, mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, IT or a related field is usually required.
Skills: Proficiency in using various software applications and tools for data entry, analysis, calculation, and communication, such as Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, and underwriting systems.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills are essential.
Attention to Detail: A keen attention to detail and accuracy is crucial for the role.
Decision-Making: Good judgment in decision-making and problem-solving is necessary.
Work Environment: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while balancing the interests and needs of the applicants, the insurance company, and the regulators.
