Job Requirements & Description
- Education: B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency in Peachtree (Sage 50) accounting software is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of the Ethiopian tax systems and reporting requirements.
- Experience with manufacturing cost accounting is highly preferred.
- Experience in Excise Tax reporting is highly preferred.
Job Description
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare, file, and manage all required tax declarations (e.g., VAT, withholding, income tax) in compliance with Ethiopian tax laws.
- Execute fixed asset management, including registration, depreciation, and amortization.
- Perform cost accounting for factory production, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Manage financial reimbursement documents and employee expense claims.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and others as needed.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and internal control compliance.
