Job Overview

Omo Bank invites interested and qualified applicants for the following job positions. Omo Microfinance is edging closer in its bid to transform into a bank. It is the third microfinance institution to make such a move, after Amhara and Oromia saving & credit institutions.

Omo was one of the five largest microfinance institutions in Ethiopia, along with Amhara, Oromia, Addis, and Dedebit. These institutions account for 82.6pc of the total capital, 90pc of the savings, and 85.9pc of the credit provided in the microfinance market. Omo mobilised over seven billion Birr in deposits last year, bringing its aggregate to 36 billion Br.

Position 1: Junior Customer Service Officer

  • Educational Qualification: BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related field.
  • Work Experience: 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Place of Work: Branches under Worabe District, Jemu District

Position 2: Junior Customer Relationship Officer

  • Educational Qualification: BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related field.
  • Work Experience: 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Place of Work: Branches under Worabe District, Jemu District

Position 3: Customer Service Officer

  • Educational Qualification: MA/MBA or BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related field.
  • Work Experience: 2/3 years relevant work experience respectively, of which 1 year in an officer position.
  • Place of Work: Branches under Worabe District, Jinka District, Sawula District, Masha District

Position 4: Customer Relationship Officer I

  • Educational Qualification: MA/MBA or BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related field.
  • Work Experience: 2/3 years relevant work experience.
  • Place of Work: Branches under Worabe District, Jinka District, Sawula District, Halaba District, Jemu District, Masha District

Position 5: Senior Customer Service Officer I

  • Educational Qualification: MA/MBA or BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related field.
  • Work Experience: 3/4 years relevant work experience respectively, of which 2 years in officer position.

Position 6: Resource Mobilization Officer II

  • Educational Qualification: MA/MBA or BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related field.
  • Work Experience: 3/4 years relevant work experience respectively.
  • Place of Work: Worabe & Karat District

Position 7: Branch Auditor II

  • Educational Qualification: MBA/MA/BA Degree in Management, Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Business Leadership, Marketing Management, Economics or related fields.
  • Work Experience: 3/4 years of related work experience.
  • Place of Work: Branches under Jemu District

Position 8: Senior Customer Service Officer II

  • Educational Qualification: MA/MBA or BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related fields.
  • Work Experience: 4/5 years relevant work experience respectively, of which 2 years in officer position.

Position 11: Branch Manager II

  • Educational Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management or other related fields.
  • Work Experience: 6/7 years relevant work experience respectively, of which 2 years in supervisory position.
  • Place of Work: Branches under Jinka District

Position 12: Auto Mechanic

  • Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or General Mechanics.
  • Work Experience: 6 years general work experience, of which 2 years as Associate Mechanic or equivalent position.
  • Place of Work: Head Office
