Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Studies (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years proven sales experience, ideally in the biscuit or food processing industry within the assigned territory.
- Proficiency in the local language.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with diverse sales techniques and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and proactive.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit and assign distributors in designated areas.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customer segments and growth opportunities.
- Analyze competitor activities and market trends to inform strategy.
- Identify and qualify new leads through networking, sub-distribution, secondary sales, and daily market visits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agents and key distributors to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, new market creation, business linkages, inventory status, and performance against KPIs.
- Schedule regular check-ins with agents, wholesalers, sub-distributors, and retailers to gather feedback and address concerns.
- Support agents in achieving monthly KPIs through secondary sales-out initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics to ensure smooth distribution from warehouse to end customers.
- Analyze customer feedback and implement improvements.
- Manage and motivate distributor sales drivers to deliver optimal customer service.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
- Monitor and evaluate competitors’ products, pricing, and sales strategies.
- Assess territory potential to expand markets and drive volume growth.
- Compile and present market intelligence reports with actionable recommendations.
- Prepare daily reports on sales performance, inventory turnover, customer development, and other assigned metrics.
