Job Requirements & Description
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Graduate in Accounting and Finance from a recognized university, with additional certification (ACCA) is a plus
- Work experience as a Senior Accountant
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- In‑depth understanding of both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Public Sector Accounting Standard (IPSAS)
- Time Management
- Team work
- Communication
- Excellent level in computer software (Office pack Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Financial Report Writing Skill
- Education: BA Degree / Master’s Degree in relevant field (Accounting, Finance and related field)
- Experience: Five years and above as a Senior Accountant, Finance Expert, and/or Accountant or related
- Sex: M/F – Women are highly encouraged to apply
Principal Duties include:
- Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable; producing error‑free accounting reports
- Producing accounting reports and presenting their results
- Summarizing and reporting monthly, quarterly, and annually, the financial status
- Review and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures
- Prepare financial statements and produce a budget according to the established schedule
- Assist External Auditors in their engagement with Project Mercy’s Auditing
- Plan, assign and review accounting staff’s work
- Accomplishment of other related tasks
