- Provide technical guidance on the design, construction, and maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, hydraulic analyses, and water resource assessments.
- Collaborate with project managers, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with national standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.

- Support the implementation of irrigation infrastructure projects from planning through execution.

- Design and operate early‑warning systems for climate‑related hazards affecting agricultural production.
- Collect, analyze, and disseminate vulnerability‑based targeting (VBT) data to guide interventions.
- Work closely with extension agents, NGOs, and government bodies to integrate warning information into community response plans.
- Produce technical briefs and policy recommendations on risk mitigation and climate adaptation.
