Job Requirements & Description
Required Qualification and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance;
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of relevant accounting experience;
- Proven experience in import and export accounting is mandatory;
- Strong understanding of trade finance (LCs, foreign payments, bank documentation);
- Knowledge of customs duties, port charges, and related cost structures;
- Experience handling foreign currency transactions and exchange rate impacts;
- Proficiency in accounting soft wares;
- Experience with ERP systems is an added advantage;
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
- High level of integrity and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills;
Preferred Skills
- Experience in trading or import/export companies
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Knowledge of local tax and customs regulations

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations;
- Handle accounting for import, export, trading transactions;
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations;
- Manage accounts payable and receivable;
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors
- Analyze financial data and provide insights for business decisions;
- Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes;
